Loved this place. The entrance, the dishes and everything. Looks so cute and taste is good as well, price is IMO also reasonable. I had the steak version and it was good, next time I’d love to try the pepper tofu one! The setup and presentation is very adorable! Would 100% recommend for first timers in the area!
Quick service and delicious pot rice. I had the eggplant with (I think) pork. The crispy rice was delicious. Interior is quaint with a cute design. Food was served quickly.
We walked in randomly for lunch. It's tasty. Nice plating. Good atmosphere. Regarding the previous reviewer who said no crispy or burnt rice, it depends on your own preference/cooking. If you want to have a little burnt crispy rice, leave it longer after being served before you toss and mix the rice. That's how you do it.
Damsot Ikseon. This is a pretty little restaurant at Iksandong area specializing pot rice dishes. We ordered the following - steak pot rice 4.5 stars - ell pot rice 4.3 stars - spicy eggplant pot rice. The eggplant tastes like meat and mixes well with the spicy gochujang sauce 4.7 stars The service is good and very friendly. The server took time to explain how to best mix and eat the ricepot. The atmosphere is very cozy and homey. I would rate this restaurant as 4.6/ 5.0 stars rating.
Randomly went into this restaurant for dinner and was surprised. Seeing that the eggplant one was their trademark, I ordered the spicy eggplant with cheese and it was the bomb! Personally I’m a super meat eater, but this made me vegetarian for a moment as its was just that good.
Solo traveller friendly resto! Locals say there’s usually a long wait but lucky me it was a gloomy day and not a lot of people were out that time. I got seated immediately and the food was served just as fast. Pricing is fair for the serving size and the taste?! Easily the best rice bowl I tried so far. I got beef loin pot rice - soft beef, not overly seasoned, not spicy (spice it up yourself).
I had the abalone one. It came with a hot iron pot. First, you mix everything in the pot. And then scoop them out and put them into a separate bowl. Leave some rice stuck on the pot and pour tea into the pot and close the wooden lid. You eat the food in a separate bowl first and then open the lid and eat the rice like a dessert. voila!
